ইরান-আমেরিকা সমঝোতা

যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও ইসরায়েলের ইরান আক্রমণ পুরো বিশ্বকে কাঁপিয়ে দিয়েছে। চলমান কূটনৈতিক আলোচনার মধ্যেই ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারির সেই আকস্মিক বিমান হামলা বিশ্বজুড়ে স্তম্ভিত প্রতিক্রিয়া তৈরি করেছে, যা একদিকে যেমন নিন্দার ঝড় তুলেছে, অন্যদিকে অনেক দেশের কাছ থেকে পেয়েছে সতর্ক প্রতিক্রিয়া। বাংলাদেশের প্রতিক্রিয়াটি ছিল অত্যন্ত মেপে মেপে শব্দ চয়ন করা; যেখানে ইরানি পাল্টা হামলায় উপসাগরীয় দেশগুলোর সার্বভৌমত্ব লঙ্ঘনের নিন্দা জানানো হলেও, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও ইসরায়েল কর্তৃক ইরানের সার্বভৌমত্ব লঙ্ঘনের বিষয়টি এড়িয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে। ইরান যে এখানে প্রাথমিক ভিকটিম বা আক্রান্ত পক্ষ, সেই উল্লেখটি অনুপস্থিত ছিল। এটি কেবল আমাদের অর্থনৈতিক দুর্বলতাই নয়, বরং বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রনীতির এক গভীর কাঠামোগত দুর্বলতাকে উন্মোচিত করেছে। এই যুদ্ধ সেই দুর্বলতা তৈরি করেনি; এটি কেবল তাকে প্রকাশ করে দিয়েছে।

The US–Israel war on Iran has shaken the whole world. The surprising air attacks on February 28, amid ongoing diplomatic negotiations, came as a shocking development, drawing condemnations and muted responses from around the world. Bangladesh’s reactions to the war, crafted in measured words, condemned violations of sovereignty of the Gulf states by Iranian counterstrikes, but not Iran’s sovereignty violated by the US and Israel. The reference to Iran as the primary victim was missing, exposing not just economic vulnerability, which is widely acknowledged, but a deeper, structural weakness in Bangladesh’s foreign policy. The war has not created this weakness; it has simply revealed it.
